Douglas A-4F Skyhawk | Photo Gallery | ||
---|---|---|---|
The Douglas A-4 Skyhawk was developed for the United States Navy and USMC in the early 1950s by the Douglas Aircraft Company, and later by McDonnell Douglas. Douglas merged with McDonnell in 1967 to form McDonnell Douglas. McDonnell Douglas then merged with Boeing in 1997. 2,940 A-4s were produced from 1954 to 1979.
In this image, the Skyhawk A-4F was fitted with a hump for its avionics and electronics, but yet somehow it still looks cool. |
