Originally produced as 2-seat, light cabin monoplane, Bestmann later used in Luftwaffe flying schools as dual-control, elementary trainer featuring side-by-side seating. Also used as light communications monoplane and, with armament added, as ground attack aircraft. Designed by Anders Andersson and built in Germany and also under license in Sweden.
