Waiting for Takeoff
Line-up of large transports on tarmac at Irkutsk, Doug and are about to take off in the IL-76 as wait for the crews to arrive onto this rather isolated section of the airport. From this vantage point Doug and I watched the World Flight aircraft takeoff and then Doug was allowed to fly the IL-76 to the refuel spot in Bratsk, which is northwest of Irkutsk. The region of Bratsk is one of the most polluted places on Earth.
